Generally speaking, dominoes are a type of game in which players try to eliminate their opponents’ tiles while blocking their own. Other dominoes have a blank face. In these cases, the number of pips on each side is referred to as the value of the domino. Traditionally, European dominoes are made of dark hardwood such as ebony or ivory, but they can be made from other materials.
